A few of the original No. 41 advertisements from the 1930s still exist somewhere, with an estimated value of over $1,200 by collectors. You could go searching, or just get this vintage sign, which reproduces the 1930’s prints in sturdy metal—perfect for a busy workshop. So many fans of vintage Gerstner paraphernalia asked us when these signs would be back in stock, we had to bring them back. They feature the Gerstner classic No. 41, which is one of our most iconic chests of all time. It was, as the sign suggests, the most popular tool chest in America in the 1930s. Many other tool chest builders of the time took inspiration from its design in their own boxes. One of our current most popular chests—the Classic—also draws from its design. So, this box was a big deal, and as we’ve found, the sign is too. 10” wide x 13-1/2” high.
