Mark –
A couple of things to note – the finish is more chrome looking than polished nickel. Nickel has a darker hue than these pulls if you are tying to match existing hardware. Also, the clearance at the top of the ring pull is only a 1/16" of an inch – and even a little less when you open the ring as the hinged area protrudes upward when opened leaving about a 1/32" between. So, you only have 1/32" of metal to cover the hole being routed or drilled.
Otherwise, I am happy with the quality of the pull and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is spring loaded.
