The GI-M20a Oak 2-Drawer Mid-Base extends storage capacity for your special collections or favorite tools, and perfectly complements our GI-T20a Oak 5-Drawer Top Chest.

The flat, felt-lined top of the M20a Oak 2-Drawer Mid-Base comes in handy wherever space is a premium. Stack whatever was already on the worktop right on this base—maybe a tool chest, a computer monitor, a set of books, a collection on display, a stand mixer, sewing machine, or tabletop machinery…whatever takes up table space. This way, important equipment is tidily displayed without wasting room, and now there’s additional locking storage underneath it—who couldn’t use more of that? This base has two full-width, felt-lined drawers. They’re mounted on friction-reducing, molded plastic drawer slides. The M20a’s design has recently been updated with a locking bar instead of a front panel, which increases the usable space in the drawers.

The chrome-plated steel hardware is hefty, durable and stylish, while the side handles allow for portability even when loaded with tools. Constructed of solid red oak and red oak veneer, the M20a Oak 2-Drawer Mid-Base will protect precious items from rust and moisture. The sturdy tongue-and-groove joinery highlights the beauty of hardwood construction and the quality of workmanship. This base will come with a set of two keys for the locking bar.

A “Factory Retouched” chest, often referred to as a “Second Class or 2nd Class” may have a slight blemish in the finish, a repaired glue joint or contain a piece of hardwood or veneer that has a minor defect – none of which are enough to affect the operation or durability of the chest itself. All “2nd Class” chests are shipped with a 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee from H. Gerstner & Sons factory in Dayton, Ohio. All 2nd Class items have been packaged for shipping and we do not track or note what was retouched on each individual chest.
