Gerstner Products 2026
Jun 23, 2026

For 120 years, H. Gerstner & Sons has built products with a simple philosophy: create something so well made that it becomes part of a family’s story. Today, we are excited to unveil a redesigned website that better reflects who we are, what we make, and where we are headed.

While the appearance of our website has changed, the values behind our company remain the same. Since 1906, Gerstner has been family owned and operated, spanning four generations dedicated to craftsmanship, innovation, and American manufacturing. Every decision we make continues to be guided by the same commitment to quality that built our reputation among machinists, craftsmen, collectors, and makers around the world.

Built by Artisans, Guided by Experience

What makes Gerstner different has never been a single product. It is the people behind the products.

Inside our Dayton, Ohio facility, skilled artisans combine traditional woodworking techniques with modern manufacturing technology to create products that are both beautiful and functional. Many of the methods used today can be traced back decades, including hand fitting, detailed finishing, and careful inspection throughout the production process.

At the same time, we have embraced modern advancements that improve precision, consistency, and efficiency. Computer controlled machinery allows us to maintain exacting standards while preserving the hand crafted character that defines a genuine Gerstner product.

The result is a manufacturing process that honors our heritage while continually evolving to meet the expectations of today’s customers.

More Than Machinist Chests

For generations, Gerstner has been known for producing some of the finest machinist chests in the world. Products such as the 2613 Pro Series Chest continue that tradition by providing professional craftsmen with durable, organized storage built to last a lifetime.

While our roots remain firmly planted in the trades, our customers have changed over the years. Today, Gerstner products can be found in homes, workshops, offices, and studios serving a wide variety of hobbies and passions.

Collectors use Gerstner chests to organize watches, knives, firearms accessories, coins, and heirlooms. Woodworkers store specialty tools. Artists protect their supplies. Professionals display treasured collections.

To better serve these customers, we have expanded our offerings with products designed specifically for home hobbyists and collectors. The 2001 Collectors Chest is one example, providing elegant storage that looks as comfortable in a living room or office as it does in a workshop.

This evolution reflects the changing needs of our customers while staying true to the principles that have guided our company for over a century: quality materials, thoughtful design, and lasting value.

Clarifying the Gerstner Family of Brands

One of the most common questions we receive concerns the difference between Gerstner USA and Gerstner International.

For many years, both product lines have been featured together, which sometimes created confusion among customers.

Gerstner USA products are manufactured in our Dayton, Ohio facility using domestic and globally sourced materials. These products represent the continuation of the craftsmanship and manufacturing tradition that began with Harry Gerstner in 1906.

Gerstner International products were introduced more than twenty years ago to provide customers with additional options at a more accessible price point. These products are manufactured overseas to Gerstner specifications and quality standards, offering the look and functionality customers appreciate while serving a different market segment.

With the launch of our redesigned website, Gerstner International now has its own dedicated section, making it easier than ever to understand the differences between the two brands and find the products that best fit your needs and budget.

A popular example is the GI 24 D, which delivers classic Gerstner inspired organization and craftsmanship at an accessible price.

Designed for the Future

Our new website was created with one goal in mind: making it easier for customers to discover, compare, and learn about the products we build.

Whether you are a professional machinist looking for a workshop companion, a collector searching for heirloom quality storage, or someone purchasing their first Gerstner product, we want the experience to reflect the same attention to detail that goes into every chest, case, and cabinet we make.

As we celebrate 120 years of craftsmanship, this redesign represents more than a new website. It reflects the continued evolution of a family business that respects its past while embracing the future.

Thank you for being part of the Gerstner story. We invite you to explore the new website, discover what makes Gerstner unique, and find the product that will become part of your own story for generations to come.
