Through generations of craftsmanship carried out at our Dayton workshop, we have always relied on strong glue for keeping any fabrics in place. That’s how we came up with Gerstner Whew Glue!, a water-soluble, non-toxic adhesive. It is used specifically to secure genuine Gerstner felt and leatherette and use it to this day in our factory, and will bring the same great quality to your own Gerstner restoration project. It is a powerful animal hide adhesive formula; similar to that used throughout the centuries in constructing fine furniture and musical instruments. Many of the valuable properties of hide glue that make truly superior products cannot be reproduced in modern synthetic adhesives to this day. For the kit, we’ll give you everything you need so you can get started right away.

Besides the glue, it includes gloves, a flat painter’s bristle brush, a strip thermometer and the step-by-step instructions for proper application.
