As we continue to produce heirloom-quality chests, we also play a part in forest regeneration. American timber today grows at more than twice the rate it’s harvested, with double the volume of forests compared to fifty years ago. By processing mature trees—those whose ability to absorb carbon has diminished—we open the forest canopy for new growth. The wood from these trees continues to sequester carbon as it becomes part of our chests, contributing to the health of our planet.
