Inspired from the Style 41 series, the Style 2007 Classic Chest is the best-selling chest in our line. For more than seven decades, from the 1920s to the 1980s, the Style 41 series was our most popular line—and a favorite among machinists and tool and die makers. When walking onto the job, these craftsmen were instantly recognized for their skill by the Gerstner they carried.

In 2007, Jack Campbell modernized this classic for a new generation of craftsmen. It features more durable hardware, an upgraded finishing process, stricter tolerances in our manufacturing techniques, plus taller and deeper drawers a wider variety of tools and collections.

In addition to featuring the popular side handles and locking front panel, the Style 2007 Classic Chest re-introduces the traditional flat, or Shaker-style, front panel that was the standard look up until the early 2000s. While craftsmen still love this beloved chest, it’s picked up many new fans including collectors of coins, jewelry, fly tying, knives, sewing and wood turning.
