Second Class – 12″ Cast Iron 4R 2-Piece Combination Square

Description

The 12″ – 2-Piece Combination Square includes a square/miter head and a 12″ tempered machinist’s blade.  The square/miter head features a level vial and a hardened scribe tool.

The machinist’s blade is durable and has an easy-to-read satin chrome finish with high contrast, micro find blade graduations.  The 4R designation means the graduations on the machinist’s blade are in 8ths, 16ths, 32nds & 64ths.

These are 2nd Class Squares, which have blemishes in the casting, which could include tiny air bubbles or other imperfections on the square/miter head and imperfections or scratches on the machinist’s blade.  Each blade has a grind score line, to indicate it is a 2nd class unit.

The combination square is dimensionally accurate, and we have been using these same 2nd Class Squares in Gerstner’s tool chest production for the past 20+ years.
